The criminal ransomware gang Black Basta attacked Capita in March 2023 when it hacked Capita’s Microsoft Office 365 software and stole data from its servers. Personal data – including names, dates of birth and National Insurance numbers – may have been stolen. Other highly sensitive data – including bank details – could also be affected.

KP Law continues to investigate the issue and is now engaging with Capita’s legal representatives. It is acting for affected pension holders and their beneficiaries to ensure they are compensated fairly. It is representing clients across 35 pension schemes and two leading unions. KP Law is standing up for you

Capita provides pension administration services to over 450 pension providers in the UK. Several have confirmed they were affected by this breach, leaving half a million UK pension holders at risk. This could also affect pension holders’ beneficiaries. 

Law firm KP Law has launched a group action against Capita to ensure affected pension holders and their beneficiaries are fairly compensated. KP Law is representing clients across 35 pension schemes and two leading unions. You may already have been contacted by your pension provider about joining this claim.

Consumer Voice is working with KP Law to help its team of lawyers raise awareness of this group action and connect affected pension holders and beneficiaries with the claim. There are other law firms who are looking to bring a case against Capita for this data breach. We don’t work with them directly.
